A Very Busy May

We have had a very busy May, and it's not over yet!! Since Elle's birthday fell on Mother's Day this year, we waited until the next weekend to have her birthday party. She had an art party at a fun place called "The Art Room" where the kids all completed an art project to take home. We were excited that Caki and Pops could make it down! The day before her party, Elle had a swim meet. This is the first one we've participated in this year. She did the 25y freestyle and butterfly and did a great job! She is really improving her strokes and may be ready for the competetive swim team soon. For now we just do the "fun meets".

Brooks finished pre-school last week. He had a great year with wonderful teachers. It will be hard to top that next year! Elle's last day of Kindergarten is June 3. I cannot believe that I will have a 1st grader!! Miles is 14 weeks old now and doing great! He really is the best baby I could've asked for and we are so thankful for him. Elle and Brooks adore him and love to make him laugh now that he responds to them some.

Our busy May continued this past weekend as Jay and I headed to Nashville for a friend's wedding. Jay's dad come down to stay with Elle and Brooks (Thanks Grandad!!!) and Miles went with us. We had a great time seeing old friends. We are now back in rainy central florida and are getting ready for Jay's sister Claire, Brian, and Lila to come visit! We can't wait to have them all here and the kids are thrilled to have their cousin to play with!

Happy Birthday Elle!!

It's hard to believe that six years ago I celebrated my first Mother's Day in the hospital giving birth to our sweet Elle. Now I am blessed to be the Mother of three! This year Mother's Day took a back seat to Elle's 6th birthday which she has been excited about planning since she turned 5! She planned our lunch out yesterday complete with cake and a singing waitress. Today she made sure that I was bringing cupcakes for the class at school, and Saturday is the much anticipated party with her friends. I admit I have let her take over and won't make that mistake again. It's just hard to say NO when she is so excited about every little detail! I see a future in event planning for this girl! Happy Birthday Elle!

And Happy Mothers Day to Granny, CaKi, Nana, Memaw, and all of the mothers reading!!!

Beach Day

We took our first family day trip to the beach with Miles today. The kids had a blast. Miles was so good! Today was a trial run to see how he would do. He loved being outside and Elle and Brooks had a great time despite the cold water.
